This Brilliant Girl Shows Us Exactly What’s Wrong With The Toy Industry

Kids are brilliant, period.

They understand the inherent truth behind the facade of society. There are dozens of videos on the internet of children speaking some serious truth that not all adults have even realized yet.

This time, this insightful girl is taking on the marketing industry. It’s no secret that toys are created specifically for a boy or a girl.

There is little in between, and we’ve created an air of shame or even disgust for children who play with the opposite gender of toys. Little boys aren’t suppose to play barbies, and little girls should never play with cars, right?

Actually, it’s fundamentally wrong.

Colors don’t hold genders and types of toys or clothing don’t have a gender; they never will. This all exists simply for marketing and to continue old traditions of gender roles in our society.

We’re taught girls are naturally submissive, serving and like the color pink while boys are aggressive, dominant and are represented by the color blue.

These are all societal constructs that box us into specific categories so we can create a sense of normality for everyone to follow. If you don’t follow these rules, then you aren’t normal and something is ‘wrong’ with you.

Children know gender doesn’t have a personification. Gender is fluid, ever changing and definitely can’t be represented by two colors.

This girl named Riley knows exactly what’s up; we need parents who are open minded and allow their children to discover the truth. Props to this girls parents for allowing her to speak her truth, she is a light we need in this world.

Strawberry Solstice: How To Harness The Energy From The Full Moon In Sagittarius

There is a full moon tonight, and it is a special one! This is the first time since 1967 that a full moon is happening on the summer solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.

shutterstock_351198734This is the longest day of the year, so what a way to kick it off with a bright full moon to dance under in the warm summer nights.

Each month corresponds to a specific type of moon according to Native American Algonquian tribes. This moon is called a strawberry moon because this was the peak time for picking strawberries!

This moon tends to be a bit more amber colored, because it’s shining through thicker, more humid summer air. This combination usually creates a slight amber tint.

This moon is in the Sagittarius constellation and is opposing the Sun which is in Gemini. Sagittarius, with the element of fire, is all about that spark of creation.

The energies behind this sign are excitement, action and transformation.

shutterstock_278701907This is a time of change, as the summer rolls in and people start to come out of the winter sadness. Sagittarius is about freedom and exploration, and what a better time to do some exploring than summer?!

On the other end of the spectrum we have Gemini. An air sign, all about communication and curiosity. These are signs concerned with growth and connection with people either through verbal, emotional or physical means.  Continue reading

Do You Have Rh Negative Blood? New Theory Suggests Your DNA Doesn’t Come From Earth

An interesting new theory suggests if you have an RH negative blood type, you may have a kind of “alien DNA”. Studies show that Rh negative blood types do not carry the gene originating from the rhesus monkey, the supposed animal humans evolved from.

So if we have all come from monkeys, why do some people not carry that crucial gene? Screen Shot 2016-06-14 at 8.52.21 AM

There are 4 blood types that we know of: A, B, AB and O. These differences are classified according to the different proteins which are found on the surface of our blood cells that fight off bacteria in the body. Most people have these proteins which means they are Rh positive. But a very minor group, only 10 to 15% of people have an Rh negative blood type.

This means they lack some of the proteins that an Rh positive person does.

Scientists have questioned where exactly the Rh negative blood group originates from, about 35,000 years ago. It’s seem to originally be connected with certain groups and tribes of people. About 40 to 45% of Europeans have an Rh negative group yet only 3% of African-American and 1% of Asian people have Rh negative blood.

Characteristics that come with this blood type are:

Research Shows Homework Doesn’t Improve Academic Performance, It Makes It Worse

Oh, homework.

Most kids absolutely dread doing it, and it might be for good reason. Did you know the highest homework loads are in countries that have lower income?

Hong Kong and Japan, places that are known for top rankings in average math achievement had reports of less homework then the international mean. While places like the Netherlands, famous for having low stress loads on students, had 1 in 5 fourth-graders say they do no homework on an average school night..

And the Netherlands is in the top 10 for math average scores. ADHD-Child

Almost 10% of fourth grade children worldwide spend multiple hours a night on homework. Internationally, 1 in 5 fourth-graders spend 30 minutes or more on math to 3 to 4 times a week.

Different studies have shown excessive amounts of homework have led to sleep disruption and create a negative relationship to homework as it simply creates more stress.

There is no actual evidence to support that high levels of homework have measurable academic benefits. Many places in Europe in comparison to the US have more freedom in their schooling system which leads to better performance.

Many elementary schools outside of the US have a longer recess and less workloads which ultimately leads to more and better work getting done. Continue reading

How To Get Through The Mainstream School System As An Awakened Child

A lot of you will be able to relate to this one.

Bullying in school isn’t something new, and it’s time we have a different perspective on it.Happy school children playing tug of war with rope in park

The design of the educational system, teachers that don’t care and restless kids are all factors in a negative school experience. My elementary school experience was extremely brutal, but it something that shaped me. I was bullied quite harshly – but at the same time I was also very mean to those around me. It was an ebb and flow of energy I did’t understand as a child.

Many children nowadays are more insightful, wise and sensitive than ever before. It’s easy to go to a school where at least a few kids won’t understand you – and therefore judge you. If you consider yourself an indigo child, or just someone who doesn’t seem to fit in – this is for you.

Everyone has their own unique qualities that make them who they are – but if you find yourself not relating to those around you, there may be something about your perspective that makes you different.

If you’re not easy to conform, if you question things and keep asking why in life, this can separate you from others. A gap of curiosity can form between you and those who don’t seem to care. Those who are too wrapped up in the latest trends, celebrity gossip or trivial matters will seem at the opposite end of the spectrum of you. This doesn’t mean they aren’t insightful or unique – it’s just their perspective.

If you feel part of something bigger, like there’s a fundamental misunderstanding in this world and you’ve come here to figure it out – this is for you.

The Mystery Behind Ouija Boards: What’s Really Making It Move?

Ooh, the mystery of Ouija boards.

Changchun-Temple-Master-and-disciples-painting-0316

The fundamental ideas behind Ouija boards go way back to around the beginning of the Ming Dynasty in 1368 CE!

This was a Taoist practice that used a type of planchette writing called Fuji, also known as “spirit writing” or, what we know today as automatic writing.

Fuji uses a suspended sieve or tray to guide a stick which writes Chinese characters is in sand or the ashes of incense.

It was used for the means of contacting the dead and those in the spirit world under special rituals and supervision. Eventually, it became forbidden by the Qing dynasty and forgotten over time.

Automatic writing is similar to painting a picture or playing music; it is something that flows through us.

There is some occult mystique surrounding automatic writing; it is considered an alleged psychic ability, when really it’s just pure creativity being channeled through us. It’s not necessarily a “paranormal” phenomenon, in that it is something we do all the time.

The actual word Ouija is a trademark of none other than Hasbro Inc., the well-known toy company.

This is both shocking and makes perfect sense at the same time.

Originally created by businessman Elijah Bond in 1890, this board was used as a parlor game with no relation to the occult.

It was actually popularized by an American spiritualist who used it as a divining tool during the first world war.

Spiritualist believed that the dead were able to be contacted through these modalities and picked it up. Continue reading
