According to eastern metaphysical theories, and in Ayurvedic Indian medicine, there exists a number of “Chakras” or ‘energy’ centers that, according to these philosophies, are correlated with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being.
There is already a large amount of science coming out of various places showing how human thoughts, emotions and intentions can actually affect and alter our physical material world, which includes our biology. These ‘places’ include the Institute of Noetic Sciences, or the Institute of HeartMath, just to name a few.
“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote:
“The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine.
Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature 436:29,2005) (source)
Did you know that in the mid-nineties, a Professor of Computer Science and Biophysics at Saint-Petersburg Federal University of Informational Technologies, Mechanics and Optics created a device that is based on the ancient Chinese system of energy meridians?
This is done by using an electrical current that is applied to the fingertips. The body responds, and this response is measured in the form of an “electron cloud.”
This cloud is composed of light energy photons, and the resulting discharge and glow, although invisible to the human eye, is captured by an optical CCD camera system.
You can find out more about this device by examining these sources:
Jakovleva E, Korotkov K., Electrophotonic Analysis in Medicine. GDV Bioelectrography research. 2013. 160 p. Amazon.com.
Pehek J. O., Kyler, H. J., and Foust, D.L., Image Modulation in Corona Discharge Photography, Science, Vol. 194, 263-270, October 1976.
The device mentioned above is called the GDV, and the images are transferred into a computer and projected onto the shape of a human body in correspondence with different organs and systems throughout the body. These are energy field images being produced, and they allow for intuitive examination of the physiological level of human body function.
It’s also important to note that this device is actually approved as a routine medical diagnostic device in Russia.
Now, back to the Chakras:
“Each Chakra is considered to resonate at a different frequency level. With new BioWell software, it is now possible to quantitatively estimate the energy of Chakras and graphically display their level of activation, and indicate whether this level of activation is above or below the level found from large numbers of subjects.” Dr. Pradeep B. Deshpande , lead author of the study
Pradeep is a professor emeritus in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Louisville., probably the furthest thing to a ‘pseudo-scientist’ there is.
Below, you can find the results from a case study he and his team of researchers conducted. It had over 100 participants, and clinical studies of more than 10,000 patient cases with multiple health challenges have also been well documented in Russia.
With the picture on the left, you can see that the Chakras are aligned when the subject is calm. These measurements were taken after the subject was given information on meditation, breathing practices, love, kindness and intention. On the right, this was the energy state of the individual prior to the individual receiving information and participating in those practices.
This study determined that a healthy and balanced emotional state correlates with a balanced, aligned energy field and in turn is correlated with honesty, equanimity, unconditional love, gratitude, compassion and more. The other side of the coin, and emotionally unbalanced state, was associated with greed, ego, fear, lying, sorrow and irritation.
