How Occasionally Sleeping Apart From Your Partner Strengthens Your Relationship

One of my favorites parts of a partnership is luscious time together in bed — snuggling, talking, connecting before bed and sharing about the day, making love, or simply being close to one another. So, it’s hard to believe such connection and intermingling could be a bit too good, but there is a side effect to sleeping in the same bed as our partners each night.

Those precious 6-10 hours (depending on how long you sleep) provide a vital healing not only for our physical bodies and cognitive functioning but also a time of expansion and reset for our energetic fields and auric integrity.

shutterstock_145834025We process huge amounts of our day’s experience and information during the dream time, travel through other realms, and recollect the wholeness of our aura after so much interaction and intermingling during the day.

When we sleep closely with a partner, the intermingling continues throughout the night, never allowing us to fully restore and clarify our own energetic space.

I was first exposed to this concept in a Human Design reading which said that as a Manifestor type, I needed at least 4 nights per week to sleep on my own. I thought back to the rare times in my adult life when I did not share a bed with a partner and noticed that I had always experienced a huge amount of growth, self-awareness, and self-exploration during those periods.

It made sense that allowing myself time like that regularly, even when in partnership, could help me grow, heal, and continue expanding my consciousness consistently, regardless of relationship status or setup.

This Man Stopped Showering and This is What Happened To Him

After realizing that we spend around 2 years of our life showering JAMES HAMBLIN decided to try an experiment. He decided to stop showering and see what happened.

If you are anything like me then you enjoy your showers. You spend an average of 20 minutes a day cleaning your body, washing your hair, and enjoying the soothing water. But did you know that we spend around 12,167 hours of our life washing our bodies?

While commercials and society are obsessed with telling us that we need to constantly clean our bodies, remove oils, and moisturize the big question is: what is this doing to our bodies and how much water are we wasting?

But what if we decided to brave all the stigma and do it anyway? Whether out of laziness or plain curiosity what if we decided to just stop showering?

Garlic Soup!

If you are looking for a great way to enjoy garlic and load up on Omega-3 fatty acids then we recommend that you try out this tasty garlic soup!

Ingredients you will need:

  • 2 Tbs of vegan butter
  • 2 Tbs of olive oil
  • 2 large onions
  • 1 Tbs of fresh thyme
  • 8.5 ounces of vegetable
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • 3 cups of bread, chopped
  • 1 cup of Dairy free sour cream (optional)

How to prepare the soup:

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Cut the top of the garlic off and then coat them in just a little bit of olive oil. Chop up the parsley, bread, and thyme.

Put the garlic in banana leaves (or another aluminum alternative) and then bake them for 90 min. Remove from the oven and let them cook. Heat up the vegan butter and olive oil in a pot until it melts and then add the onions and cook it for 10 min.

One the garlic has cooked mash it up with a fork and then add it into your pot. After that add your other herbs and the veggie broth.

Cook them together for 5 minutes and then add in the bread until it softens which takes about 5 more minutes. Add in your dairy free sour cream, pepper, and salt to taste.

These Incredible Salt Drawings Reveal Their True Colors When Inverted

Dino Tomic is an incredibly talented and patient artist that has spent countless hours mastering an art form that isn’t truly revealed until you look at it inverted. What may be even more incredible about this detailed work is the fact that it is done entirely with regular table salt.

Imagine spending hours meticulously placing the salt on these giant mandala-like designs while also maximizing the contrasting space so that it will pop once the image is inverted. Dino is truly gifted in his ability to capture our wonder and inspire other artists who are looking for unique ways to share their vision with the world.

While the creation of art with salt isn’t new Dino has been able to expand upon old ideas and add in a unique flavor as well.

“The salt mandalas/salt art are just one of many stepping stones I’m undertaking. I know I’m talking more in general about art than the the subject at hand – but I feel it’s more important to present the whole picture instead. Undertaking projects like these are like entering uncharted territory.”

Dino describes that with this particular project he was looking to overcome his past boundaries and set the bar as high as he could in order to challenge himself. By focusing on giant salt art designs he is also setting records while stunning the viewer.

“Today in the world there are only a handful of people who create art using only salt and the projects they undertake is a mere fraction of the size that I do.”
