The Emotional Control Switch: Why Nothing You Do to Feel Better Ever Works

It is time to become aware of this emotional control switch when it goes off within us. The time has come to recognize ourselves resisting our own emotion the moment it arises.

This affect is the beginning of a downward spiral. Our emotions will work like a chain reaction where we struggle against them and end up being rolled over.

If we are in a situation where we feel like nothing ever works and like we will never feel better no matter how hard we try, it is because we are approaching our life from that very angle… that we must feel better because negative emotion is not ok. Anxiety is not ok, anger is not ok, sadness is not ok, grief is not ok. The way we feel is bad and so it has to change.

“It is normal to want to feel good. The basic survival instinct is to shy away from pain and go towards pleasure. This is not in and of itself a problem. Suffering is caused when instead of going towards pleasure, we resist the pain. And this, is what we have done with emotion” Continue reading

3 Key Ingredients to Attracting Your Soul Mate

When one dreams of a soul mate, what does one desire? Perhaps a person who is purposeful in their actions, purposeful with deep meaning. They may be a city person with a love for the outdoors and practicality, or a country person with city savvy and appreciation. They know when to protect you and when to encourage you to be the strongest version of yourself in any situation when they are absent.

This soul mate is in tune with their intuition and heart desires; they are effortless in expressing themselves and inviting your own feelings to be shared and heard. Your soul mate has the patience and care to learn your creative language so that you can both better create your life together.

This person is grounded and confident in their life and career choices, independent and persistent with their dreams while supportive and respectful of yours. At the very least they will respect your goals; at the very most they will help you build your dreams.soulmates

Your soul mate has a big heart with room for all, and a smile that warms your temper. Whether they have a family or not, it does not impede on their ability to let all people be a part of their idea of family.

They want to explore your vulnerabilities and fears, in addition to your hopes and aspirations; this trust is mutual as they will have shown you their scars and wounds. Together you will help each other mend and move forward.

Your soul mate is a reflection of yourself.

You may be surprised to know that you will most likely have more than one soul mate in your life. It is often believed that there can only be one or that it is solely romantic, and that it is the relationship you are meant to keep throughout one’s whole life. This is not always case. 2016 Full Moon Calendar: The Dates and Meaning of Each Moon

Did you know each full moon has a name? I actually didn’t know that before this! I had heard of the harvest moon but that was all! The native americans named each full moon to help them track the seasons. It was a representation of a time of year and the energies that came with it.

Although the early native americans did not record time the way we do, using the Gregorian calendar. They watched the skies, trees and stars and observed a change over time. Some tribes had 4 seasons, some had 5 based on what they experienced. Sometimes there was 13 months in a year because of the variation in lunar cycles, leap years and so on.

The names for each moon apply to the entire month.Full Moon Clouds

January, known as the Full Wolf Moon was named after it appeared when wolves would howl outside of the villages. It was also known as the Old Moon to some tribes.

February is known as the Full Snow Moon, because that month typically has the heaviest snow fall of the year. Other tribes had named this moon the ‘Hunger’ Moon because it was the most difficult to hunt for food in this season.

March is called Full Worm Moon, because it is the beginning of spring! It is when everything comes alive again; things start growing, birds and bugs come out, especially worms. It was named after the representation of rebirth of nature. Also known as the Sap Moon because of the maple trees sprout once again.

April is the Full Pink Moon. Slightly more abstract, this moon is named after the appearance flowers as spring continues on. Also known as the Egg or Fish Moon, it all represents the birth, sprouting and life of a new cycle.

May is called Full Flower, or Milk Moon. As spring brings new plants, flora and life forth, the tribes named this month after the continuation of growth from mother Earth. Continue reading

Groundbreaking Magic Mushroom Study Reveals Long Term Positive Effects On The Brain

John Hopkins University of Medicine has recently published a study providing insight into the benefits of mediated doses of Psilocybin, the active psychedelic chemical found inside of Magic Mushrooms.

The study came about from the question “What is the Right Dose?”, after observing many unique studies around the world describing the benefits of Psilocybin, and also many accounts of “Bad Trips”. This study goes into the specific dosage which creates lasting spiritual awareness and positive transformation in the user!

During the study, the participants were encouraged to be blindfolded in a laying down position, as well as wearing headphones and being as completely relaxed as possible.  None knew how much of a dosage they were getting.

What was discovered was that higher doses correlated with more positive effects and that out of all of the participants, 78% of them reported having experienced one of the top 5 most spiritual experience they ever had in their lives – despite reports that anxiety, fear, and stress also increased six times during the period of ingestion.

The doses then decreased from there, going from 20mg down to 5. At these levels, they only had 1 volunteer reporting any sort of negative experience, and ALL volunteers reporting positive experiences. Even at the lowest level, it was still demonstrated to have noticable, lasting effects – so much so that the family and friends of the participants noticed positive changes in their personality.

“We seem to have found levels of the substance and particular conditions for its use that give a high probability of a profound and beneficial experience, a low enough probability of psychological struggle, and very little risk of any actual harm,”

Roland Griffiths, PhD.

Now, this study has actually been going on for some time, because a followup 14 months afterwards resulted in 94% of everyone who went through this experiment still claiming that this was in their top 5 most spiritual experiences of their lives.

Personally, i’m thrilled that John Hopkins university is continuing to look at and unlock the potential of Psilocybin! There is so much we don’t know about reality, and these seemingly magical hallucinogen has been known to help quit smoking, heal the body, and transcend time and space itself.

What will we learn next?!

Stay tuned!

With love,
Jordan Pearce
