The University of Minnesota has conducted a study showing that being messy doesn’t make you any less productive than the super tidy people among us.
In fact, it has shown that being messy actually helps stimulate new ideas and creative thoughts.
What psychological scientist Kathleen Vohs and her team of researchers discovered in their research was that while both tidy and messy people generate the same amount of ideas, those who have a more cluttered environment seem to have more interesting and creative ones.So, if you have papers piling up on your desk or a heap of clothes on your floor, chances are you’re actually pretty good at thinking outside the box!
