Oh, sweet Virgo’s.

Opposite of airy signs like Aquarius and Libra, Earth-element Virgo is into the practical side of things. Ruled by the mental planet Mercury, Virgo’s are analytical, observant and intellectual in their thought processes.

Sixth in the zodiac, Virgo’s are represented by an image of the virgin. This symbolizes ideas of purity, modesty, sensitivity, shyness, conscientiousness and sometimes reserved energies.

This doesn’t mean Virgo’s won’t connect with you, they just take a bit more time to warm up. They can keep themselves at a distance before you really get to know them – but when you do, their intelligent, empathic and curious demeanor will enchant you.

Virgo’s are people of the Earth, they are grounded and many of them work with their hands. The two sides of a Virgo are sensitivity vs criticalness. Many Virgo’s are sensitive and require you to approach them first. They are kind, often well spoken and knowledgable but are known to be critical of themselves and those around them.

Leo the Lion!

Calling all the cat people out there?

Ruled by the sun itself, this intensely fiery sign has a radiant energy that draws all kinds of people in. This is the fifth house in the zodiac, representing fun and romance. Lying between Cancer and Virgo constellations, Leo is represented by the Nemean Lion that was killed by the Greek hero Hercules.

Much like a cat, many Leo’s enjoy being treated with elegance, much like a regal king or queen. Almost like the king of the jungle, Leo’s surround themselves with friends and family. They can enjoy having friends around them for extended periods of time due to their social and adventurous nature.

Many Leo’s appear to have a strong sense of confidence and sturdiness to them. Even if they feel like they might not be as strong as they appear, they have a natural air of ‘togetherness’.

Okay, your turn Sagittarius!

Sagittarius is in the 9th house of the zodiac. Tucked in between Capricorn and Scorpio, Sagittarius is symbolized by the archer Chiron. In Greek mythology, Chiron was a half man half centaur who practiced medicine, archery, healing and hunting. Interesting mix isn’t it? 

The Sagittarius sign is also represented by an image of a bow and arrow. These energies are direct, quick and sometimes sharp.

Sagittarius’s are known for that double side of them – where they are the life of the party, humorous and the center of attention, but only if they feel comfortable.

If they feel awkward, out of place or uncomfortable in anyway, a Sagittarius can shift into exactly the opposite of wanting attention. As many people are becoming increasingly sensitive to energies, many Sagittarius’s can easily pull back from these intense social situations.

Libra, the balancer.

This is the seventh sign in the zodiac. It is represented by the symbol of scales,  from the scales of justice held by the Themis, the Greek personification of divine law. Libra is one of the three air signs, making it mental in nature. It was said that Rome was founded when the moon was in Libra, the perfect balance.

Everything is balanced and righteous with this sign. It’s position in the constellation is very interesting, with it being right in between Virgo and Scorpio, the two sides almost opposites of each other. Virgo represents the virgin while Scorpio is known to have a lot of sexual energy.

Many libra’s are extreme perfectionist and hard workers. My partner is one of the most Libra-y Libra’s out there. The level of sensitivity, hyper awareness and balance he brings is outstanding. He has described being a libra as loving to make things perfect, balancing those scales just right, then once you get bored, you tip the scales again and start over – just for the fun of it.

Some libra’s are the perfect leaders for this world because they are fair minded, social, and just in their actions. Justice and equality are some of the most important things to a libra. They try to make peace wherever they go and will often put the needs of others before their own. This can leave them drained and in need to recharge if they aren’t careful about where they place their energy.

The sign of libra is ruled by Venus, the planet of passion, beauty, and love – especially when shared with someone else. They love beautiful spaces, carefully crafted things and the luxur

y of life. My partner absolutely love fancy spaces, but it’s not about it being expensive or luxurious, it’s about the craftsmanship and care that went into it.

Libra’s are known to have self-pity sometimes when things don’t go right. They’ve also been known to hold grudges against people when they feel hurt. Trust is of the utmost importance to a libra. They’re incredibly sensitive and forgiving when they that it is deserving. They care so deeply about creating harmony that they forget to work on creating that harmony within them.

It said that many Libra’s depend on their partners, weighing their success or failure in life on their relationship. This is because they know we are inherently social creatures and, as a perfectionist, they are always trying to get things to work.

They don’t give up easily, they really are some of the most dedicated and hard-working people. It’s interesting, because many libra’s are considered to be lazy, when in my experience, they are actually trying to find effective ways for find long-term solutions rather than just covering up problems with a band aid.

Just because they love beautiful things doesn’t mean they are shallow  or superficial in their relationships. It is about finding the beauty in personality and mentality. If you have a special libra in your life, be attentive to their needs and their immediate surroundings, as many of them flourish in tidy spaces. It helps clear their over-stimulated mind.

When they are given the space and freedom to thrive, Libra’s can find incredible solutions to some of our worlds largest problems.

Calling all of the Aquarians out there! Those born under this sign are known to be some of the awakened children, teenagers and adults that will carry us into the new millennium.

As we enter the Age of Aquarius, those with the sign are known to be born as visionaries, outside-of-the-box thinkers and progressive souls. Some of us are here very specifically to bring forth the new, benevolent world to fruition.

As a half aquarius, half pisces cusp, I take on traits from both sides.

The sign of Aquarius is symbolized by the water bearer but is actually an air sign. The representation of water being poured is the knowledge and ideas many Aquarius bring forth. Many of us love to share stories, ideas and emotions with those around us.

Many Aquarians have a high IQ and constantly running mind that can turn out some pretty incredible thoughts.

The ruling planet is Saturn; the planet of getting things done. It is all about discipline, responsibility and creation. Structure and order are some of the main traits that Saturn represents. The secondary ruling planet is Uranus.

One of the three water signs, the Scorpio is the eighth sign in the zodiac. Scorpio’s have been symbolized by the scorpion, a serpent and an Eagle – a representation of the transcendence between the physical and spiritual realms.

Scorpio’s are known for being some of the more sensually charged people. Ruled by Mars, the planet of passion and aggression, many people can see why. The mindset many scorpio’s have towards life comes with an intense passion in everything they do.

As a water sign, emotional sensitivity comes natural to scorpios. Many water signs have heightened sensitivities, both mental, emotional and psychic in many ways.

This is the connection between Scorpio’s intense sensuality and their psychic ability. Being psychic is a lot more common than you may think, it requires observation and making connections through patterns.
