The Most Astounding Fact About You That Will Blow Your Mind In Under 4 Minutes

Doctor Neil DeGrasse Tyson is a well known science advocate, doctor of astrophysics, and the host of the television show The Cosmos. He’s this generation’s Carl Sagan and Bill Nye rolled into one delightful package.

Tyson is well noted for using and promoting consistently unique and refreshing perspectives. The unique qualities of his introspection is perfectly debuted here.

Some one asks Tyson, ’What is the most astonishing fact you can share with us about the universe?’

Tyson replies with an explanation of how we are all made of stars. The same atoms found in you in any moment are the same as the ones found throughout the universe. All physical object in the universe were made in cosmic collisions and death of stars. All things start from something old and as everything ages it springs forward new potentials.shutterstock_269301581

Tyson has a simple way of explaining difficult ideas. Every Time I’ve heard him speak there are underlying tones of spirituality that make my heart remember the basic principle that we are all in this together.
If you’ve never quite made sense of hearing that we are ‘children of the stars’ or ‘beings of light’ this video is a must see for you! One of my favorite quotes from this video is,

“Yes we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up, many people feel small because they are small and the universe is big. But I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars.”

Scientists Uncovered An Ancient Elixir Of Youth. You’ll Never Guess What The Ingredients Were

Most everyone on the planet is trying their hardest to stick around on the planet as long as they can for some reason or another. That’s why most of us try to rest, take care of ourselves, stay in shape and good humours. This average approach to maximizing trips around the sun isn’t enough for many people found throughout history. Out of the desire to push the limits and live forever, every society in every era has formed a version of their own ‘elixir of life’. Most of these are outlandish and not geared for human consumption. gods and immortals to be would drink various bloods, milk of sacred cows, eat 10,000 year old peaches or my favorite: drink gold! Gurus and alchemists the world over have tried to create something more practical but alas no avail.

Most ‘health’ drinks or tonics meant to prolong life had one common ingredient; they all contained alcohol. That’s right the toxin schools warned us about is the common denominator in almost every life prolonging concoction. It makes sense when you think about it. Alcohol can break down most of the constituents (molecules deemed beneficial) if not all of them. The liquid also makes membranes in the mouth more absorbent so whatever herbal qualities have been imparted on the liquid bypass the digestive track and go straight to the blood stream. The digestive track can break down a lot of the more delicate herbal qualities. Liquor works to preserve the concoctions shelf life 10 years or more depending on how it is manufactured.

A bottle was found during the excavation of a German beer garden at 50 Bowery in New York City, New York. There was enough information that researchers located the recipe in a 19th century guide. It called for 2.3 grams each of rhubarb, gentian root, white turmeric and Spanish saffron mixed with the juice from 13 grams of aloe, 4 ounces of water and 12 ounces of grain alcohol. Shake Often and vigorously for three days, then filter through a cheesecloth. Be careful if you make this, it is potent stuff. I recommend 1-2 drops in the morning. Getting drunk off immortality didn’t work for many gods so mortals should beware. The researchers doubted how healthy this drink was.

In today’s age the topical elixir is described as ‘Monoatomic gold’. This substance comes in many forms and is made from the fermentation process of peat moss and other herbs in alcohol. There are as many skeptics as believers in this modern version of alchemy as in the past.

Telekinesis Is Real; Here’s A Way You Can Experience It For Yourself

Anyone growing up with super heroes, Jedi or a good science fiction novel have shared my fascination with super powers. I’d rather not discuss the lengths I would go to to attain any number of crazy powers, but I will share with you a way to train your mind into developing telekinesis.

Telekinesis is the ability to manipulate the physical world around you using nothing but your mind… You read that correctly and yes I am serious.shutterstock_196145192

I know I am not the only one that fully believes in the unpredictable and infinite nature of the universe. We know little, can explain less and haven’t explored our own stellar backyard fully yet.

Everyone suddenly has strong opinions about what is and isn’t possible. I choose to believe that the human potential is boundless as long as we can perceive it as so. If you feel this is a possibility then lets give it the college try.

To test your progress you will want to set up a ‘psi wheel’. You need to fold up a square bit of paper or foil and place it on top of a pointy object with a flat bottom. The objective in this trial is to spin the foil or paper with ONLY your mind. A toothpick or paperclip shoved into an eraser seems to be a favorite to set the folded material on.

Once you’ve set it up, hunt for cracks in windows and doors. You don’t want to accidentally cheat yourself with a random gust of wind.

Practice makes perfect

These tips are guides only. They can be done in any repetition you feel productive and in any order.

Meditate

Meditation makes sense to bring focus to your mind and balance your shifting attentions. You will need 110% of your concentration so start the process now and for as long as you can. Take breaks but nothing beyond 5 minutes.

Believe and visualizeshutterstock_198915077

Believe in your potential and visualize what your trying to do.

As the process falls apart in your head just reestablish your intention and start over.

You need to have faith in what you’re doing and be able to visualize the process from when you set your intention to when you move the wheel.

Form an energy ball

As you breathe you collect energy from the air, and you can pull energy from many sources; the sun, the planet, other humans, chakras, plants and mental formations in your head. The list is endless. Pull on everything you can and contain that energy between your palms. The focus here is on containment, expansion, contraction and if you can spin the ‘ball’ in different ways.

Be Positive

You aren’t likely to get this your first few times. Stay positive and nurture your negative energies. Love and positivity have the most powerful influence. Also if you should unconsciously release energy into your neighborhood shouldn’t it be positive?

Record Your Progress

This is very personal and any scrap of information may help you fit it all together.

It is important for you to spot what isn’t working. a practise of you may make you feel amazing but be ineffective to the end goal of controlling

Scientist: Talking To Our Cells Causes The Body To Heal Itself

Fascinating discoveries about the brain are abounding lately, to the point where science and holism are unifying. One particularly interesting area of research involves the connection of our thoughts and our physical bodies, to the extent that some now point to evidence suggesting that we can ‘talk’ to our body and have it cooperate.

In his book Biology of Belief, Dr. Bruce Lipton seeks to show evidence that the common idea of DNA controlling body processes is flawed, instead proving that there must be another prime mover behind the DNA: signals received outside the cell, including our thoughts.

How can we do this? Meditation has been shown to be the key ingredient in one’s daily habits to achieve a state of mind-body connection. A regular practice in meditation will allow one to enter the deeply relaxing alpha and powerful, trace-like theta brain wave states. In these meditative states, we can open the channels of communication between thoughts and cells.

With regular meditation, we can experience an intimacy with our own bodies as never before, such as the realization that we are comprised of trillions of cells, each their own universe with their own experiences. We can then build a bridge of communication between thought and body to heal minute issues that lead to disease. The emotions arising from this process assist by stimulating the release of hormones by the endocrine system.

This mind-body connection is similar to the Eastern philosophy of oneness. The ancients understood that all life is derived of energy, and therefore our consciousness has energy. With clear intentions, we can achieve physical healing, using the emotions which arise to physically respond to the thoughts in our consciousness.

For further depth, check out what Dr. Lipton has to say on this subject in his own words:

This Architect Designed A Self-Sustaining Underwater Eco-Village

Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut has made designs for an underwater ecovillage that is self-sustaining and could house up to 20,000 people.

The Aequorea project envisions spiraling “oceanscrapers” that are constructed entirely of recycled plastics of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The Aequorea would house up to 20,000 people, have science labs, offices, hotels, sports fields and farms that would feed everyone in the eco-village. The plans call for 250 floors that reach a depth of 3,280 ft (1000 meters). Desalinated water would be used for drinking, bio-luminescence would provide light and microalgae would take care of recycling the organic waste matter.

The eco-towers’ geometry and ballasting would help to counter whirlpools and natural buoyancy. This will also help against  storms, currents and earthquakes. The shell will increase in thickness and strength the further down the towers reach into the ocean.

There are also other great initiatives out there like this that include Mana Fest, Backyard Abundance and The Venus Project . What others are out there?

The Science of Dreams: What They Mean & We Can Control Them

In this enlightening short film, Vsauce founder Michael Stevens embarks on an in-depth investigation into the reasons as to why we dream. Dreams have only just recently earned a genuine interest among the scientific community in the past century and as a result, they have remained shrouded in much mystery.

As he combs through the history of Oneirology, the study of dreams, Stevens pieces together the timeline of understanding of this phenomena and explores everything we have come to know thus far.

Taking a look at everything from rate of occurrence and brain activity to purpose and meaning, this carefully formulated explanation offers some compelling insight for those curious about this fascinating faculty of the mind.
