Studies Show How Messy People Are More Creative & Intelligent

“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”

– Albert Einstein

If you are one of those people who just can’t get your desk in order,  leave your belongings laying around or if you just can’t be bothered to wash the dishes every day, chances are you are more intelligent and more creative than your tidy and orderly counterparts!

The University of Minnesota has conducted a study showing that being messy doesn’t make you any less productive than the super tidy people among us.

In fact, it has shown that being messy actually helps stimulate new ideas and creative thoughts.

Something else interesting though? The neat people among those who were tested proved to make wiser decisions, (like choosing an apple as a snack over a chocolate bar) and they were also more generous when donating to charity.

Check out the video below, where one of the researchers from the study discusses their findings!
