Bitter Melon: The Plant Can Kill Cancer Cells & Treat Diabetes

Bitter melon is a fruit that grows abundantly in Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Traditionally it has been used to treat diabetes and other more mild diseases or illnesses.

More recently, bitter melon juice was shown to kill pancreatic cancer cells in vitro and in mice in a study done by the University of Colorado. Considering the results were seen in both in vitro and in vivo tests, the effectiveness of bitter melon juice in treating pancreatic cancer, and potentially other cancers, at a clinical level are promising.[1]

bitter_melon“IHC analyses of MiaPaCa-2 xenografts showed that BMJ(Bitter Melon Juice) also inhibits proliferation, induces apoptosis and activates AMPK (adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase) in vivo. Overall, BMJ exerts strong anticancer efficacy against human pancreatic carcinoma cells, both in vitro andin vivo, suggesting its clinical usefulness.”

Pancreatic cancer is one of the most difficult cancers to treat due to the fact that it is often discovered late, leaving very little time to treat. Since traditional therapies (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery etc) were not showing promising results and littler advancement was being made, researchers have been looking elsewhere to find treatment. Mind Over Matter: How Mental Attention Can Directly Affect The Physical World

Article originally written and published by www.collective-evolution.com

Decade after decade, various scientists have regarded the factors associated with consciousness (perception, feelings, emotions, mental attention, intention etc.) as a fundamental part of science – that one cannot fully understand science, especially quantum physics, without including the study of consciousness.

“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.” – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, which won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918.

When looking to discover and learn more about the true nature of reality, one thing scientists do is study matter (atoms). Although most modern day mainstream science is a science which operates under the assumption that matter is the only reality, this notion, known as “scientific materialism,”  is disappearing at a fast rate given what quantum physics has shown us over the past few decades – that there are worlds existing beyond our perception and senses, and that what we perceive as empty space is not empty at all.mental-and-emotional-health

Apart from this, decades of research and experiments within the realm of parapsychology have shown bizarre, inexplicable, yet repeatedly observable results indicating the great importance of consciousness that we don’t often consider, especially when it comes to science. Continue reading

These Troubled School Kids Started to Meditate Everyday – The Results Are Amazing:

Article originally written at www.collective-evolution.com. Posted here with their permission.

Many of you have probably experienced the amazing practice of meditation. Meditation boasts a wide variety of benefits, and is known to have a profoundly positive impact on your emotional and mental well-being. If you are having a stressful day or are having trouble with something that has been challenging you, meditation is a great way to gain clarity and insight in your daily life. Imagine if the special gift of this practice had been taught to you as a child or a teenager – how would that have impacted your life?

article44

There are so many wonderful benefits to teaching children how to meditate. Some time ago, the San Francisco school district was looking for a way to help some of the troubled teens in their schools. After much deliberation, they decided to implement a pioneering program simply called “quiet time,” where students had the opportunity to practice transcendental meditation twice daily for 15 minutes.

The school board hoped that this practice would help students let go of the stresses and confusion in their lives. Four years after “Quiet Time” was introduced, the school saw a 79% decrease in suspensions, a 98.3% increase in attendance, and an increase to students’ GPAs by 4. Wow! Those are some amazing results! Continue reading

How To Identify Your Core Passion in Life & Create A Career Around It

Life seems to have a plan for us even before we know it.

In fact, our paths are often so well laid out for us that before we know it, we’ve signed up for some sort of ambiguous university degree.

This happened to me. I chose to study dental hygiene because 1) it offered a good-looking salary and 2) the city I grew up in offered the program. Naturally, I did what was expected.

Thankfully though, I’m a quitter. With only one year left to finish, I decided to walk away from my career as an oral hygienist because 1) the stress of it was expediting my hair loss and 2) I was very unhappy.  So, I listened to my intuition, or common sense as some may call it, and left the program.

Eventually, I re-kindled my childhood love for writing to mitigate my shame for leaving school, never with the intention of building a career out of it, of course, because how many writers actually get paid for their work?

But somehow, after embracing my inner quitter and picking up an improbable hobby, I rolled two doubles and landed on free parking, or, in layman’s terms – I got hired as a writer.

Turning your passion into a lucrative career may seem impossible at times, and if your passion involves creativity it may seem “stupid” to try and tackle, but there are methods to help make your dreams a reality that anyone can apply if you are finally ready and determined to make things happen in your life.

Let me elaborate.

1) Ask yourself what made you happiest when you were young.

Before you became jaded by life, i.e., car payments, rent, student loans, etc., what got you the most excited when you were a kid?

Perhaps it was using your easy-bake-oven to make mom mystery cakes (seriously, what the heck was in those?), reenacting scenes as Rose from Titanic in your friend’s swimming pool

(No one? Just me then…), painting “nice” pictures for your art teacher, or pretending to ride a unicorn (in which case, stop reading this article because that will never happen). It doesn’t matter what that something is, the point is to think back to what got your inspirational juices going and made you happy. This means more than you realize. Continue reading

Harvard Psychiatrist: Extraterrestrial Contact With Humans Is “Literally & Physically Happening”

This article was originally written by and published at www.collective-evolution.com. Posted here with their permission.

“Yes, it’s both. It’s both literally, physically happening to a degree; and it’s also some kind of psychological, spiritual experience occurring and originating perhaps in another dimension. And so the phenomenon stretches us, or it asks us to stretch to open to realities that are not simply the literal physical world, but to extend to the possibility that there are other unseen realities from which our consciousness, our, if you will, learning processes over the past several hundred years have closed us off.” – John Mack(source)

John Mack was a Harvard professor, psychiatrist, and Pulitzer Prize recipient. He, like many other academics, became very interested in the alien abduction phenomenon. One can see how this sparked his interest; after all, he was a professor of psychiatry. If you told a psychiatrist you’d had contact with beings from another world, you’d probably be handed a diagnosis of schizophrenia or psychosis along with a handful of medication.

This is a disturbing thought, given the tremendous amount mack2hr-s-conway-copie-153of evidence that’s now available to suggest that people are actually having legitimate experiences with extraterrestrial beings, or at the very least, are being completely genuine in their accounts. That’s not to say that some people do not suffer from hallucinations, but there are a lot of people out there who are actually having real experiences as well. John Mack was well aware of this evidence, and this is why he is one of the key pioneers of abduction research.

“There is abundant evidence that we are being contacted, that civilizations have been visiting us for a very long time.” – Former NASA Astronaut and Princeton Physics Professor (source)

Before you continue, it’s important to note that Mack was well aware of the UFO phenomenon, which has been disclosed by dozens of governments around the world by high level officials and documents. You can see some of those documents and statements in articles that are heavily sourced HERE and HERE. Continue reading

The Suppression Of Science: Why The Science Of Spirit Is Not “Pseudoscience”

Article originally written and posted by www.collective-evolution.com. Posted here with their permission.

Despite the fact that a tremendous amount of scientific research exists -from independent to peer-reviewed -that clearly shows a definitive link between consciousness and our physical material world, this type of study has remained controversial. Again, despite the wide range of substantiated scientifically valid results, it’s sometimes grouped in the realm of “pseudoscience.”

Pseudoscience is referred to as the incorrect use of the scientific method. Various realms of study that branch underneath consciousness, one of them being parapsychology, which involves studies ranging from telepathy, psychokinesis, out of body experiences, human intention, paranormal phenomena, how consciousness and (what we perceive to be) our physical material world are interconnected, and more are usually accused of this. Although many studies that branch underneath these topics cannot be scientifically explained from a mainstream point of view, they have nonetheless been observed repeatedly in hundreds of laboratories across the world using the scientific method as a basis for investigation.

Digital Universe“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote:

“The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion: the universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.”  – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University ,  “The Mental Universe” ; Nature 436:29,2005) (source)

“I shall not commit the fashionable stupidity of regarding everything I cannot explain as a fraud. ” – Dr. Carl Jung

To date, CE has provided a large amount of evidence to clearly show this connection, and how it has no business being grouped in the realm of “pseudoscience.” Even though it is not entirely understood, closing off what we don’t understand is not a proper use of science.

More and more scientists are having absolutely no doubt that consciousness and parapsychological phenomenon are extremely valid subjects when it comes to scientific inquiry, and the importance and implications of this are far reaching. Continue reading
