12 Spiritual Barriers And How To Break Them Down

Spring is just around the corner, and with it will come ruminations on clearing winter’s accumulations out of the house. But spring cleaning shouldn’t be limited to our physical house. Often, when we search ourselves, we find that our spiritual ‘house’ needs cleaned as well.

Here are 12 ways that we prevent ourselves from growing spiritually. Thankfully, we can typically let all of these go once we realize that they are there. It’s a new year, no time like the present!

We Shouldn’t Limit Ourselves

There are no limits to this life. When we come up against something that we feel is beyond us, that wall is typically erected by us. Take it down!

We Are Not Our Jobs

Nothing makes us lose touch with our true nature like our association of ourselves with our moneymaking endeavors.

Don’t Be Self-Critical

There is often no one more critical of you than YOU. While usually well-intended, there are better paths to self-improvement.

Let Go Of Anxiety

We often suffer from fear-based anxiety. That which is unfamiliar or unknown should produce exhilaration rather than fear.

Don’t Take Things Personally

The hurt we feel from someone else’s words or actions is self-inflicted. Instead, we would serve ourselves better to stay balanced, focused, and find humor in ourselves!

Why Feel Guilty?

This is a typical feeling that serves no function whatsoever. If you did something in need of forgiveness, then seek it. But if you’re living in your truth, let it go!

Procrastination

If there is a task to do that’s important, give yourself time to do it thoroughly. When we delay it, we risk cutting corners to complete it.

Beware Of The Company You Keep

It is too easy to be influenced by the negativity of others. It’s ok to leave someone behind who brings you down.

Don’t Seek Approval

Instead of seeking the approval of others, seek your own self-esteem. If you do that, approval will come, only this way it will be healthy rather than attention-seeking.

Let Go Of The Past

Instead, live in the present! Remembering negative things in our past only limits us today.

Don’t Be Attached

The roots of suffering lie in attachment to things in this world, according to Buddhism. Unhealthy attachment to things, ideas, people, and illusions holds us back. See if you can let some of it go!

Let Go Of Distracting Habits

In this world, it’s so easily to get distracted, and most of the things that distract us are completely unnecessary to functional existence. It’s one thing to indulge, but it’s another to indulge too much.

21 Of The Best Quotes For Loving Yourself

We are our own worst critics. It can be hard for the normal everyday person to live up to a perceived standard set by the perfect-looking people with perfect-seeming lives we see everywhere in the media. Therefore, one of the challenges in life for us is to know ourselves and embrace that person, including shortcomings.

When we can develop the courage to look in the mirror and love what we see, it can start a domino effect that will lead to us becoming more caring and supportive of our loved ones, and more empathetic regarding the entire world and everything living in it. First, though, we must love ourselves.

Below are some quotes to help us along the path to self-love.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

On Loving One’s Self:

“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love & affection.” – Buddha

Self-Mastery: How to Become Your Own True Love

A relationship is never the answer to your loneliness. Any feelings of emptiness, unhappiness, depression or self-hate can exist within you before you meet your partner. Most people tend to create new relationships based not on what they want, but in response to what they perceive to lack. They look outside of themselves, saying, “when I find someone, I will be happy, satisfied, and fulfilled’.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.07.53 AMWhen they do find someone to have a relationship with, it is exciting and fulfilling for a few months, maybe a few years.

When the original feelings come up again, they can start blaming the other person for their loneliness, depression, self-hate and their unhappy life. The other person, in turn, may dim their own light, by demanding your energy, time, and your personality.

It is their fear, their pain and their depression that starts chasing you, sucking your energy and imprisoning your beautiful free soul. You may do the same to them because of your own emptiness.

NOTHING outside of yourself, not a relationship or another person, will ever bring you true happiness, fulfillment or peace of heart if you aren’t already happy with yourself.

You are your own hero, your own lover, your own answer to all of your prayers, and your own TRUE LOVE.

Today is the day to become your own True Love! Start to love every aspect of yourself, including all of your Darkness and your Light. Start to appreciate and love your own personality; become your own best friend.

Start to embrace all that you are in your divinity. Stop waiting for something or someone outside of you.

YOU are what you’ve been looking and waiting for the whole time. Stop searching, stop demanding. Each of us is a free, sovereign spirit, meant only to share and celebrate our true essences together. Continue reading

This Video Will Change The Way You Look at Prescription Medicine Forever

Pills decorated with dollar billsLearning the truth about the pharmaceutical industry is like finding out that Santa Claus isn’t real. Its heartbreaking, disappointing, and makes us question everything we’ve ever been told. Nonetheless, we must wake up at some point for the sake of our own truth.

To hear that an industry, we have entrusted to care for us so that we can live happy and healthy lives, is a participant of atrocious acts designed to yield gluttonous profit, is gut wrenching. For some, the idea is literally unbelievable.

I too, was skeptical; I was convinced that a doctor knew best.

Pharmaceutical companies are making billions of dollars a year from prescribing medication. A great amount of profit is being made by the number of illnesses people suffer from. These statements are facts, and they should at least question your thoughts about the medical industry, but if they don’t, this video clip is sure to do so.

“There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn’t true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.”- Soren Kierkegaard Continue reading

The Top 10 Essential Oils For Healing Your Body Naturally

Pharmaceutical companies are being exposed left and right, of their vile practices that include selling medications that continue to keep us sick. For those of you who are up to date on Big Pharma, you know that pharmaceutical companies are making billions of dollars off of sick people, and have no interest in seeing people recover from the detrimental illnesses they suffer from. The “Truth About Cancer,” documentary series, does an incredible job of explaining the eye-opening, ugly truth behind prescription drugs.

So who can we trust, if not the drugs that are meant to be helping us? Ah, Mother Nature of course. For every ailment, disease or mental suffering, Mother Nature can help.

Essential oils are highly concentrated oils that are derived from plants, flowers, herbs, fruits, and other gifts from the Earth. They are widely used for health wellness, aromatherapy, cosmetic desires, and deep spiritual awareness.

“There’s an oil for that.”- Every person who has benefited from the use of essential oils.

(Due to the high concentration of the oils, I recommend using coconut oil to dilute the oil when applied to the skin, in case of a potential allergic reaction. Its also important to research how to use the oils before using them.)

Modern medical technology proves the benefits of essential oils in the video below:
