Cannabis Cures Cancer and The Government Has Known Since 1974

Cannabis is labeled by the US Government as a Schedule 1 Narcotic, meaning little to no known medical value. (Even though the US Govt holds patents that state otherwise) Marinol, which is APPROVED BY THE FDA, is synthesized THC.

Millions of people are sitting in jail for using Cannabis raw, but it’s ‘perfectly fine’ to use the plant if the Government and their corporate owners take most of the medicine out of it, then get to charge you an arm and a leg for it. Why is that? I shall explain.

The US Government is well aware Cannabis has medicinal properties. How could they not? It’s been used as a medicine for at least the past 10,000 years. Even in America, Cannabis was used as a medicine for over 100 years. It was in over a hundred over the counter medicines for a wide range of reasons. Everything from pain and nausea medication to sleeping tonics. (Why did they make it illegal? It’s a long story so I won’t go into it today.. If you’d like to read about the greed and racism that caused the criminalization of the world’s most useful plant, check out this article)

Among the reasons you will learn about on the link I shared above, the US Government has even more reason to keep it illegal today. If Cannabis were to become legalized, it would eat away at TRILLIONS of pharmaceutical profits over the years. (Not including other profits like the billions they get for keeping our privately owned prisons full.) Continue reading

Harvard University Finds That Having No Friends Could Be As Deadly As Smoking

We all know how bad smoking is, but researchers at Harvard University have found a link between blood clotting protein levels caused by loneliness, and are suggesting that having no friends is probably just as deadly as smoking, making you more susceptible to strokes and/or heart attacks.

Being alone and not socializing activates what is known as the “fight or flight” stress signal. This signal causes protein fibrinogen levels to go up in anticipation of injury and blood loss. This is not great for health, fatty deposits build up in the arteries thanks to too much fibrinogen.

The researchers at Harvard found a connection by comparing blood-clotting protein levels in people with varying amounts of friends and family, and found that fibrinogen levels were higher in those with less friends and a lack of social networking.

Those who only had 5 friends had 20% higher levels than those with 25 friends, so 10-12 fewer friends drastically diminished health, with the impact being as high as those who smoke.

Having few friends results in people feeling vulnerable and threatened, this then causes the flight or flight response to trigger in an ongoing and sometimes lethal dose.

Lead Author Dr David Kim  said “Measurement of the whole social network can provide information about an individual’s cardiac risk that is not necessarily apparent to the individual herself.”

“Social connectedness displays a significant association with fibrinogen. Continue reading

The First Copies of The “World’s Most Mysterious Book” Are About To Be Released

Locked away in the Yale University Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library vault, seen and touched by few, this rare and incredibly old 15th centuary manuscript has finally been deciphered.

Many of the worlds greatest cryptographers have spent a lifetime trying to figure out this book, which is written in a strange and mysterious coded language, to no avail, however, 900 copies are ready for circulation as a Spanish publishing house has been granted permission to make copies, perhaps someone out there will be able to crack the Voynich Manuscripts mystery.

Juan Jose Garcia who is the director of Siloe, the publishing house who was finally given the go ahead to distribute copies, after requesting for 10 long years, says that “Touching the Voynich is an experience” and “It’s a book that has such an aura of mystery that when you see it for the first time … it fills you with an emotion that is very hard to describe.”

For about US$9,000 dollars you can purchase an exact replica of the Voynich. There are only 898 copies and each one comes complete with identical holes, patched tears and stains like the original.

Folger Shakespeare Libraries Bill Sherman states that “The Voynich Manuscript has led some of the smartest people down rabbit holes for centuries.” In this Washington Post interview he continued to say “I think we need a little disclaimer form you need to sign before you look at the manuscript, that says, ‘Do not blame us if you go crazy.'”

13th Century Roger Bacon was for centuries believed to have written the book. He was known for being consumed by magic and alchemy, it even landed him in jail. Carbon dating put this idea to rest as they later realized the manuscript was written between 1404 and 1438.

The author is still unknown, some speculate it was Leonardo da Vinci, others think it was written by aliens. Since no author could be identified the book was named after Wilfrid Voynich who is said to have purchased it in 1912.

The book is incredibly odd, filled with strange and disturbing illustrations. These images are nothing compared to the obscure text.

Reed Johnson stated in 2013 that “It doesn’t match any other language that’s been seen in any other book. The drawings often have labels, which would seem to offer a route to deciphering the code. But that hope has proved to be an illusion,”

The manuscript has been digitalised and can be viewed here.

How Our Different Personality Types Affect Our Health

Every single human is unique and our personalities are what truly defines us as individuals. As we grow and evolve, so does our personality. It influences us in everything we do, every day of our life.

Even though we possess this uniqueness, we love labeling and categorizing everything and everyone.  The same has been done with our personalities. Basic characteristics and traits have been bundled together. Several basic overall personalities were reviewed by studies set up by the University of Nottingham, led by Kavita Vedhara and the University of California lead by Sarah Hampson.

A significant connection was found between the different types of personalities and the way they shape the immune system. The participants were studied, each pertaining to the category of personality they fitted and which variety of health issues they endured.

It turns out that certain personalities are more likely to develop certain weaknesses in their immune system and have the tendency to develop certain health risks and diseases; whereas others personalities tend to show more immunity for the same risks.

A distinction is made between the worrier, extrovert, agreeable and conscientious personalities.

With the results of these studies, people can anticipate what to expect when they recognize themselves in certain traits.  This gives the opportunity to adjust habits and behavior to optimize one’s health. A personality is part of a person and is in many cases unchangeable. But habits can be altered and adjusted for a better mental and physical health.

The Worrier

A person will be sub-categorized as a worrier when they indicate that worrying is a trait that dominantly shows itself throughout the day. Surprisingly the worrier group is not as much at risk as one would think. But there is a catch.

Within the group of the worrier, we can clearly differentiate between two kinds: the excessive worrier and the healthy worrier. The last one is the most common one and it keeps us alert to possible dangers.

But excessive worrying goes along with elevated stress levels which can result in unhealthy habits like overeating and drinking. Also was found that excessive worriers tended to have a bigger chance on depressions due to over worrying. Continue reading

3 Modern Day Ghost Stories That Are Difficult to Challenge

There are two kinds of people in this world. One kind believes in ghosts. The other adamantly does not. Both sides think the other is crazy and illogical. The skeptics decide that believers are delusional. Yet those who have actually experienced the supernatural are frustrated that no one understands them.

Therefore, many haunting stories are never told in fear of not being taken seriously, or worse, locked up. Here are three recent stories of the paranormal that can change a skeptic’s mind. You may not believe the event, but the witnesses certainly do.

The Victorian Doll

Georgia. August 8, 2015

Darla* was seven-years-old when she found the doll at a vendor market. It stood out to her with its curly brown hair, brown eyes, pale skin, and a lovely red dress with a golden floral design. She thought it was odd that the doll was still in her box. Her mother explained that the doll was porcelain and not meant for playing.

“That doll was sad, and all I wanted to do was make it better. She needed me!” Darla remembers. She begged her mother to buy it. Her mother denied her request, but a few months later, the same doll arrived as a birthday present from her uncle. Darla decided to name it Samantha. She talked to her doll every night and kept her on her shelf where she can see it.shutterstock_199518029

When Darla turned thirteen, she moved out with her father and packed her collection of dolls including Samantha in a box. That night in her new house, she heard rustling in the box. When she approached it with a flashlight, the noise stopped. Darla opened the flap. Nothing was wrong. The next morning, she noticed that Samantha was lying on the floor.

When she was finally unpacking the next day, she decided to take Samantha out of her box. She cut the strings, mounted her on a stand, and placed her with the other dolls. Then she took the boxes to the burn pile. While carefully monitoring the fire, there was a loud POP, the fire enlarged, and turned bright blue. She panicked and doused the fire, wondering perhaps some chemical came into the barrel without her realizing. In her mind, that didn’t make any sense since she didn’t use lighter fluid or kerosene, or anything of the like.

She stepped outside that night before bed to have a quick smoke when she heard a female voice calling, “Darla…” She was frightened since she only lived with her father and ran back inside.

While she was falling asleep, she heard the voice again. Darla asked what it wanted, and it said, “Nothing. You have freed me, and now I can have anyone I desire.” Continue reading
