GEODESIC DOMES – OUT OF THE PAST AND INTO THE FUTURE

Build the future with geodesic domes! This technology has been around for nearly 100 years. Geodesic domes utilize the power of natural geometry to make mind-blowing, incredibly efficient structures. Think of how the shell of an egg can hold its shape, and how a spider web can be very light and yet be strong enough to catch prey. This technology is a celebration of nature as opposed to an attempt to conquer it. For those more technical readers out there… A geodesic dome is a spherical or hemispherical thin-shell structure (lattice-shell) based on a network of geodesics (great circles) on the surface of a sphere or a hemisphere. The geodesics intersect to form triangular elements, which have local, triangular rigidity, and so distribute the structural stress throughout the geodesic sphere.

The first dome was designed and patented for a planetarium right after World War I. Twenty years later R. Buckminster Fuller gave the dome the name geodesic. Although Fuller was not the original inventor, he is credited with the U.S. popularization of the idea for which he received a U.S. patent. The geodesic dome appealed to Fuller because it was extremely strong for its weight, its “omnitriangulated” surface provided an inherently stable structure, and because a sphere encloses the greatest volume for the least surface area. Fuller hoped that the geodesic dome would help address the postwar housing crisis.

These homes are extremely energy efficient for many reasons. More specifically…

  • Its decreased surface area requires less building materials.

  • Exposure to cold in the winter and heat in the summer is decreased because, being spherical, there is the least surface area per unit of volume per structure.

  • The concave interior creates a natural airflow that allows the hot or cool air to flow evenly throughout the dome with the help of return air ducts.

  • Extreme wind turbulence is lessened because the winds that contribute to heat loss flow smoothly around the dome.

  • It acts like a type of giant down-pointing headlight reflector and reflects and concentrates interior heat. This helps prevent radiant heat loss.

The net annual energy savings for a dome owner is 30% less than normal rectilinear homes according to the Oregon Dome Co. This is quite an improvement and helps save the environment from wasted energy. Domes have been designed by Bucky and others to withstand high winds and extreme temperatures as seen in the Polar regions. Dome homes can be kind of weird looking and they don’t necessarily fit in all the beautiful square neighborhoods when you’re walking around the suburban world, but Fuller saw much potential in those triangles. Dome homes have become one of the most efficient building systems available. Not only are they energy-efficient and cheaper to build than a standard home but they are beautiful in appearance and and have endless design possibilities both interior and exterior.

In the future large urban areas could be domed under a single roof. The dome would be airtight and pressurized, creating a habitat that can be controlled for air temperature, composition and quality, typically due to an external atmosphere (or lack thereof) that may be harmful to habitation for one or more reasons. These cities may be situated on Earth, a moon or another planet. The world’s first climate controlled domed city is being built in Dubai.

Sacred Geometry in Superbowl 50

The Super Bowl Halftime show is the most viewed event of the year, and in this 50th year we saw a presentation of many sacred symbols that begged for a more spiritual analysis. As with all spiritual matters and symbols, interpretations are extremely personal and this article is mere speculation on our part. These symbols and the influence they convey depends just as much on the receiver as they do on the giver of this information. What seems most relevant to one might be a totally different message for another.

During “Viva La Vida,” Chris Martin enters the field with a crowd of kids and then to the stage with “I used to rule the world…” The lyrics of this song tell the story of a king-like ruler, once powerful and on top of the world, with enemies quivering in fear. But this illusion is now gone, outlived by a world that took itself back and brought him to his knees. Could this symbolize the fall of patriarchy?

To progress spiritually, both individually and as a community, we are often forced to let go of the authoritative grip we have over ourselves. In the global sense, this could mean letting go of force and authoritative control and moving to cooperation, acceptance, and tolerance. The symbol of a king brought to his knees in humility is a powerful one, and is found in nearly all spiritual texts.

He comes onto the stage onto a massive, bright flower of life. The ancient symbol is not only featured on their latest album cover, it is also found on each of the band members and wherever else it might be squeezed in. Also on stage we have a prominent bell next to the drummer. It is a special bell known as the Ghanta. This is a bell you ring coming into a temple that is made to sound like an extended “Om.”

Throughout this song the camera looks straight down as the geometry begins to come alive, spinning and radiating into the viewer’s mind. This symbol is believed to represent the sacred path into life from the universal void. It is a pattern deeply embedded in the core of our existence, as well as the existence of all life forms that we humans know of. It can be seen anywhere if you look for it, but to be the focus of the world’s most popular broadcast has brought this symbol, knowingly or unknowingly, much deeper into our collective consciousness.

As Martin sings the vortex begins to open underneath him into the sacred geometry. As the performance begins its first transition, Martin leans down to the crowd and addresses the camera, “Whoever you are, wherever you are, we’re in this together. Let’s go!” Here he reveals what clearly appears to be the intention behind this aspect of the Coldplay performance: the unification of the global community.

Immediately after this, the message changes. The performance explodes into its next song Paradise. The visuals change into an exploding sun, a blast of bright energy surrounded by butterflies. This is an all-important symbol of metamorphosis and rebirth. A new dawn? A new paradise perhaps? You might have also noticed the not-so-subtle “Global Citizen” around his arm and heart-shaped multi-colored light in his shirt over his heart. One World?

Elsewhere on the field, a small army of green fairies have taken over the field with flower umbrellas. These expressions reinforce the celebration of color, of diversity, of spirit and oneness, all reminiscent of the colors of the Holi festival and depicted in the “Hymn for a Weekend” video. As the flowers in the field align, the seed of life and the fruit of life appear on either side of the stage for just a moment.

It is a spectacular scene, but it is important to keep in mind that these movements and patterns are extremely deliberate. This year, a 30 second commercial cost $5,000,000, which comes to $166,666 per second. It is with great and deliberate intention that these images, symbols, and messages are published. The symbols that are presented at this level have the power to affect the entire human race, and they will to be sure.

This Architect Designed A Self-Sustaining Underwater Eco-Village

Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut has made designs for an underwater ecovillage that is self-sustaining and could house up to 20,000 people.

The Aequorea project envisions spiraling “oceanscrapers” that are constructed entirely of recycled plastics of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

The Aequorea would house up to 20,000 people, have science labs, offices, hotels, sports fields and farms that would feed everyone in the eco-village. The plans call for 250 floors that reach a depth of 3,280 ft (1000 meters). Desalinated water would be used for drinking, bio-luminescence would provide light and microalgae would take care of recycling the organic waste matter.

The eco-towers’ geometry and ballasting would help to counter whirlpools and natural buoyancy. This will also help against  storms, currents and earthquakes. The shell will increase in thickness and strength the further down the towers reach into the ocean.

There are also other great initiatives out there like this that include Mana Fest, Backyard Abundance and The Venus Project . What others are out there?

Take a look at some of the pictures originally found on this site.

Rare Astrology: All Planets Are Moving Direct From December 25th to January 5th

astrology

Beginning December 25th, 2015 with Uranus stationing direct, all major planets in our solar system will be moving direct/forward.

Stephanie Tetra Forest, who is the first known astrologer first to publish articles, teach online courses and present slide show lectures on both the occurrence and potential of APDM.

Stephanie states, “Now, here in this moment, from our geo-centric view, our entire solar system, moving together, in the same direction, like a flowing cosmic river, all traveling towards this one direction.  From the position of the Sun or Earth’s perspective, All Planets in Direct Motion represents an organic, holistic, synchronous, harmonious group passage through the endless universe. ”

Stephanie goes on to write, ” An APDM cycle is definitely one of hope for the future. It’s uniquely a time where the earth’s perspective becomes like the Sun. Continue reading
