The Study Of Spirit: Karma

Hello, my name is the late 20th century and I’d like to massively misinform you about the nature of Karma!

The concept of Karma has become massively popular in modern culture, even outside the spiritual sphere of thinking due in part to pop-culture references (such as the Radiohead album Karma Police, video games like Fable, Fallout and Mass Effect and the shows likeThe Simpsons), but also largely due to a rise in general spiritual awareness. You could ask any man, woman or child to define it and they would probably all be able to give you a fairly comprehensive answer. It would most likely go something like this:

“If you do bad stuff, bad stuff will happen to you.” Continue reading

PatchBlog – Essence and Ego

Today I want to share what i’ve learned recently about the spiritual essence. Everyone has an essence, but what exactly is that? The companies at the department store will have you believe its your fragrance, and i suppose on one level or another, your essence will manifest in your fragrance, but thats certainly not the source.

Your essence is your true self, your pure being, and your connection to source. We are all one, and we all share the same essence, and yet there are an infinite number of flavors of that source. When you know your essence, your first reconnection with it, you will most likely have a life changing experience of realization, understanding your purpose, and getting it on so many new levels. Your life will never be the same, and it will be beautiful!

So, your essence is you. It is your light, the essence of your heart, and not your ego’s perception of itself, but your hearts true divine knowing and understanding. It is much more pure, and much more centered in love, rather than all of the distortions that we have today on this planet. And that’s not a metaphor, the heart actually has brain cells in it, so you can think with your heart and its a totally natural thing! Continue reading

Music Quest -sing the blues

fret
verb: to feel or express worry, discontent
noun: A sequence of bars or ridges on the fingerboard of some stringed musical instruments (such as guitar), used for fixing the positions of the fingers to produce the desired notes

I have this memory of being a young girl playing alone in my bedroom.  But I wasn’t playing with dolls, I was playing pretend, and not that I was a ballerina, but that I was locked in my room and pounding on the door desperately trying to escape.  I sat by the door with tears in my eyes, though I could get up and walk out any time I wanted.  There was no lock on my door as a child, so I drew one in with magic marker. The imaginary lock remained there until puberty when I upgraded to an actual locked door.  I remembered this childhood game only recently as I’ve been contemplating my reasons for being an artist.  Whenever I feel my efforts are in vain I take a step back and really ask myself if I am on this journey because I am compelled to from within – or if it is a game for me, a goal I set in my mind that I’m too stubborn to let go of until I reach it. The question keeps coming up, why art, why make it? Does it really help anyone but myself? Continue reading

The Study of Spirit: Control Systems

Now, I’m far from crazy: I don’t believe that 9/11 was an inside job, I’m pretty sure that there are no aliens in Area 51 and there’s no way FEMA could be conspiring against the citizens it was commissioned to protect.

I’m not a ‘conspiracy theorist’ in any sense of the term, so when I tell you that in spite of this it isfact that the world is constructed in a manner which constricts our actions and thoughts it should have a little more clout than if I was a tinfoil-hatted homeless man. In spite of this, the vast majority of people reading this will still probably reject it as paranoid gobbledegook- which means that the control systems are doing their job!

Here in Britain, the setting of George Orwell’s utterly fantastic 1984 we are already careening wildly down a path which restricts civil liberties to such a degree that an Orwell himself would have been ashamed about the caste-run dystopia into which we have evolved. The United Kingdom is notorious in the international community for its utility of a social construct known as the Panopticon, with over 1.85 million CCTV cameras observing every action taken by every citizen. On average you are observed by a government representative every 35 seconds. Continue reading

Arcanum Divinorum Episode 3

From the moment we are born into this world, to the day we die we are subjected to numerous forms of control, from many different sources. If you are a free thinking individual, this should come as no surprise to you. Many of them are obvious, and plain as day, and some are more subtle, and effect you on a subconscious level in contrast to their obvious counterparts. They range from logos plastered in front of you daily, to the preacher calling out that doom is upon us and that Jesus is the only way. From the corporate billboards selling you their image worship and egocentricity, to the TV mind-slave wave that robs people of their potential in the ever changing now. From the Lawmakers shuffling away trillions in secret bailouts, to the numerous growing needs of the ever growing poor class. All of this is built to keep us controlled like cattle, and keep us from realizing beauty in our world. To keep us from realizing our potential in this world.

These control structures are used in many ways, to keep humans down, and dis-empowered. They have been alongside humanity for a very, very long time, and it’s hard to say when they were first implemented. While it may be an interesting point, ultimately knowing it does nothing to change the situation we are in now. All we need to do is open our eyes and acknowledge what’s happening around us. We have been born into a slave system that deludes us with the illusion that we really are free, and trades our personal freedoms for “security blankets” whether we like it or not. This system asks not our permission, and demands our subservience.

These control structures are enforced by one main emotion: Fear. For fear wraps itself around the hearts of people and digs in deep. Fear of death, fear of loss, fear of isolation, fear of change. But as wise men once said “There is nothing to fear but fear itself”. The only power fear has over us, is the power that we let it have. We have the power right now to throw off our shackles, and claim freedom from fear. Yet so far, fear has worked quite well for controlling humanity, and keeping us from freeing ourselves from it’s enslavement. Fear however is not an absolute power like love, and love will challenge fear time and time again, and love will more often than not come out victorious. For nothing changes fear like love. You can’t dampen true love with fear. That’s like going into a house full of people who love each other deeply, and trying to trick them into fighting. If they really love one another, and are in a harmonious relationship, they will see what you are doing, and they will throw you from their house.

With that being said, I am now going to begin to touch on some specific control structures. There is a lot I could elaborate on with each topic. I simply don’t have room here, so if anyone feels I haven’t touched well enough on one of these topics, feel free to email me in regards to what you think I should go into further depth about.

Religion is a far spread control structure that uses fear. They want to keep you afraid about hell, or loosing your family to it. Fear of hell, makes people are easy to control, and it puts them in a state where they will often do whatever it is their religion demands they do to avoid this damnation. Yet what loving god would condemn his people to eternal suffering for taking advantage of the freedom of choice he insisted they have? That’s not love. Any god that would torture it’s people for disobeying it’s doctrines is the exact opposite of what love is. Love means loving no matter what. Not scorning them for living a life outside of servitude and worship. To me that seems less what a god would do, and more what men would create to control other men with. To quote HP Lovecraft “If religion were true it’s followers would not try to bludgeon their young into an artificial conformity; but would merely insist on their unbending quest for truth, irrespective of artificial backgrounds or practical consequences.”

Government on the other hand, is a newer kind of control structure. It follows a system similar to the old style monarchy with one key difference. It allows the people it controls to believe that they have a choice in who leads them. It deludes them to thinking that rights are given to people by governments, not as a right that all living beings possess naturally. It deludes people into thinking we must adhere to this control structure, and pass it on endlessly to our children in a cycle of continuation. Democracy is simply one man holding two puppets, with the goal of enslaving your mind. The word itself Government broken down is composed from the words Govern and Mental. Govern meaning: to control, and mental meaning the mind, the meaning isn’t exactly hidden. We have been lead to believe that the government is here to keep us safe, and a needed precaution keeping the world from destroying itself, when in fact the most destruction in this world is done on their behalf. The concept of government itself is not negative if used in a way that truly promotes peace, but sadly our system supports domination.

Education systems are another common form of control. Many education systems teach people to blindly accept facts presented to them from official sources, and conditions them to memorize and repeat those “Facts”. These “Facts” will lock in one idea of reality to the individual’s mind, and tells them to use only that one way of thinking. Now, not all education does this. Some of it teaches us integral skills we will need for life, such as communication, and cooperation. But these concepts are taught to us along with controlling concepts, so that we will have less of a chance of noticing what’s indoctrinating, and what’s not. We will be taught that we are nothing but bodies of flesh, and that there is no such thing as UFO’s, spirits, or the like. Now, we don’t know for a fact that they don’t exist, so why do we teach it? Because it’s not about what we know for fact or not; it’s about keeping people thinking in a way that keeps them weak, and dependent. If we truly wanted to empower our students, we would teach them to think outside the box, and reward them for their individuality, not assimilate them, and change who they are.

Some of these sources of control can be helpful; Like a parent who takes your away your keys when you begin to consume alcohol. This is an example of a more positive form of control we implement on our society, and shows that exercising control in some ways is a very healthy practice. We do generally enjoy some degrees of control in this existence, otherwise we would be living in a chaotic swarm. After all, we like having enough control over ourselves to stockpile food for winter for when there will be less around. It works for anything else in the same regard. Like most things, in moderation it can be a helpful concept that makes us happier and healthier. In excess it can drain they joy out of life, by attempting to control everything that happens. Life feels complete with a bit of chaos, and random chance. After all, who wants to live a life of orderly routine, with no change or free flow?

What I have listed here are but a few examples of the many control structures that control the current paradigm. If you are interested in learning more on this, I suggest you do your own research into it, looking at independent media sources that aren’t controlled by the main structures in this world. Some great movies to watch are Zeitgeist, Thrive, The Esoteric Agenda, and any of David Wilcock’s speeches found in plenty on youtube. But go beyond this, and follow what trails come to you. Let life branch off and take you where you need to be. But remember; we live in wonderland. Seek the rabbit hole, and you might just find how out deep it goes.
